In "dry" mode, the fan runs on low only so you can't get a good cooling on hot, humid days. You're gonna sweat all day and night.

This is a terrible, terrible, air conditioner. Gartner's are usually a reliable bunch of folks, but they sure dropped the ball when they decided to stock this piece of junk and sell it in their store.
Not only that but every three minutes the unit makes a high-pitched whining sound. It cycles back and forth like this all day and night, whining horribly for three minutes, then running smoothly the next three. It's infuriating. (The instruction booklet tells you this is "normal.")
Moved to the area a couple of months ago and had tons of odds and ends to purchase here, and they were always able to help me find what I needed. I don't think there was anything that they didn't have, ranging from keys, to door sweeps, to random small screws and pins and things like that. The employees are very helpful with finding things around the store.
This review only applies to the piece-of-junk air conditioner Gartner's sold me last summer. It's called Perfect Aire, and it's the worst air conditioner I've had in my 32 years living in New York.
The unit I bought was actually a bit too big for my apartment, meaning I was supposedly getting more air conditioner than I needed (they were out of the proper size), but it's a joke. On really hot humid days I can't get cool to save my life.
Friendly knowledgeable service. Been there a few times and heard them deal with all their customers with patience even if someone is asking about a home project and looking for free advice
