The Clinton St. Bakery serves a high quality breakfast. Any item you order is made with the best ingredients.

In 2017, tried the no wait app for the first time and it worked great, when we were in the taxi and within 1 mile, the no wait app allowed us to get in line, we had to check in when we arrived, and we were seated 15 to 20 minutes, enjoyed the French toast, sugar (cured) bacon, scrambled eggs, 2 eggs sunny side up, hash browns, pancakes (chocolate chunk), maple butter and the freshly squeezed orange juice. Did not like the fried green tomatoes and the sausage (pork) patties.

The only reason why I do not give this place a five is the price. The price is presented online as being cheap. We ended up paying a 9 dollar gratuity, without being told beforehand. We were only 3 people. Bear in mind, this is a CASH ONLY establishment. We fell short from want we had originally calculated we were going to pay and I therefore had to cross the street and get cash from am ATM.

My mouth is still watering from the amazing, hearty, cheesy, flavorful omelette I just had here. In the 6 years I’ve been in NYC, this is by far the best omelette I’ve had. Big pieces of chorizo, fresh onions and peppers. Lots of gooey cheese. This is like a real Sunday morning, farmhouse omelette. Their house preserves are so fresh and sweet. Just the perfect touch for their fresh sourdough bread. The hash brown are made to perfection too. I will definitely be coming back here- especially after watching all those fluffy buttermilk pancakes being served!

But overall, with regard to quality, this is probably one of the best places you can eat breakfast in New York.

Its pancakes are heavenly. They transport you to a very happy place. The syrup used for the pancakes is like nothing you've ever tasted.

Good, but not worth the wait. After two hours of waiting for breakfast, I expected something totally amazing. While the food was good, it was just good, not amazing. I felt I could have got something equally good elsewhere without the wait. I think that a lot of people convince themselves that it will be amazing to justify the very long wait.

If you come, make sure you have plenty of cash.

I am not a big fan of pancakes, however this place just blew me away. Will definitely go again just for the pancakes.

Thick pancakes, but soft as a cloud, topped with blueberry coulis.. absolutely divine!

Oh good God!! The blueberry pancakes we're beyond belief.

We paid above 60 dollars for three people without any drinks. I was disappointed in that respect.

In 2016, I said, wow it worked out better for us this year. Immediately upon arrival in New York City, we caught a cab to this restaurant, went in the door (new/additional dining area opened in January 2016), told the hostess our name and group size, gave our phone number, she said it may be a 45 minute wait, but 15 minutes later, we received a text message saying that our table is ready. They told us to go to the bakery (older/original dining area), and they will seat us there. Hostess seated us in the bakery some minutes later at the same table we had last year (near the window), love that! We ordered French toast, sugar cured bacon, egg Benedict, orange juice and lemonade. As always, food and service were excellent!

Cash only!!

In 2015, I said, It is worth the wait!!! My wife and I had French Toast that comes with warm maple butter; it was the best tasting French toast we ever had! The sugar cured bacon was really good, too! We also loved the freshly squeezed orange juice (that had NO PULP)! We walked in, asked to be seated, they told us that we had to wait for 1 hour and 35 minutes, but we waited, enjoyed the meal, the hostess, waitress, and bus help as well. All of that is why it was well worth the wait!

The eggs, bacon, buttermilk biscuits, ham, and hash browns taste fresh and high quality.
