Also, we were pleased to discover that even though the store has achieved some fame from the TV show, the prices were very reasonable. We expected to be gouged (I'm looking at you 'Pawn Stars'), but everything was very reasonably priced (even at the Times Square location).
All in all, I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you are close to one, take the time to go and you won't be disappointed. And we have it on good authority from our Italian exchange student that the food is authentic!
A great place to sit down, relax and drink some coffee after walking through Times Square. I haven't tried everything yet, but everything I have bought has been delicious, I highly recommend their cheesecakes and canolis. They make a great latte. It's a bit pricey, but worth it. Plus it's an open kitchen, so you see the staff making your baked goods.
Very long cue and great selection of goodies. They where out of chocolate eclairs but it was so busy I understand why. I had like a chocolate mouse cake thing. Was absolutely lovely. Everyone I went with was also very happy with there choices. Great stuff
The food was incredible. Some reviewers warned that they were very sweet and this turned out to be good advice. While everything was delicious, I do recommend you find something a bit less sweet. Otherwise, you will be unable to eat all of it, and nobody wants that (do they?).
This place went below my expectations. Service was okay and fast but the food was not very good. Grocery store bought cupcakes were fluffier and more moist. I am so disappointed. There's always a long line here and I'm not sure why. Maybe just because it's the cake boss bakery. Really not something I would recommend though. Their cheesecake (I got the chocolate covered one) was the best thing I ordered from here.
Well it turns out that Cake Boss is HUGE in Italy, as we learned from our Italian exchange student. So when we traveled to New York, we HAD to take her. We visited two of their locations, and were delighted to discover that when you make a minimum purchase, you get a free gift. So we got her a key chain and a mug for her mother back in Italy.
The food was very good but I visited this place two separate times. The first time their card machine was down and hey only were accepting cash. Many people don't carry cash anymore so a lot of people were upset. The second time I visited I waited 23 minutes for them to find out how to turn the computers back on because they froze up. People behind me were just leaving their food and walking out. I really liked the food but they need to get staff that knows how to operate the point of sale system.
