first whiff of the lawlessness of the kingdom and absolute absence of structure and utter carelessness and "not my problem" attitude you'll get used to when you arrive there. nobody wants to do their job because they're too good for it, and you can't make them. if you want a visa, you should pay the private offices that deal with the consulate's employees internally and they have their own understanding. if you want to attempt to do the procedure yourself, be prepared to be a ball in a pinball machine, deal with broken websites, incoherent translations, and incomplete and contradictory instructions. And if you ask anyone to help you, they will serve you attitude, and with a straight face tell you to go to the exorbitant offices they know and deal with.
