A very hardworking team. I thank all of them for their tremendous help and support. I lost my Indian Passport and had an emergency to fly back home. I called them and they helped me thru, gave the complete documents list which I need over the phone. Once I got there, they understood the urge and issued the passport under 3hrs. I can’t thank them enough for all their help
The service at the consulate general was amazing, the best experience i have had with a Govt. India office/outpost. I felt that the Consular CPV officer, went out of his way to help me with my expedient business need. surprised. When i thanked him profusely, all he said was "We try to be better all the time, now". I am amazed to say the very least. If you have a genuine case, and behave courteously, they seem to go out of their way to help you.
Perception can be so wrong, after reading the reviews we were so worried but in reality the Team @ Consulate is Amazing. Mr. Krishnamurthy was so helpful over the phone that he cleared all our questions patiently and guided us & the team he has does an wonderful job. Our work was done just in an hour!!. I hope this review helps all fellow Indians we truly have a family @ Consulate to help resolve your issues.

I had really nice experience at India Consulate NYC. I went for Passport renewal with few other updates. There were 2 ladies at consulate who listened to me calmly, understood what I want to update in Passport and helped me in getting it done quickly. If you have all documents ready you will be done in no time. Get all documents copies as they require it to keep it in their file as a proof. You can get copies there as well however it's cash only and $100 bill is not accepted.
