There’s an upstairs, but it’s for restaurant dining only and, to be honest, you shouldn’t go to Old Town Bar for the food.
This place has been around for more than 100 years. It's actually amazing how historical this building is, even the urinals themselves are over 110 years old. The place is very rustic and does the job of a dive bar.
Often busy, often pricey, but reliably excellent for an old-time NYC bar. Great place to visit when you need to kick your feet up after shopping or grab some food (average bar food, nothing spectacular though).
This is a classic new York spot. High ceilings a lot of room. Food / burgers are pretty decent as well. Just a great spot to kill some quality time
Don’t go for the food, but everything else is grand. Nice historic bar, beautiful decor, and robust friendly atmosphere. It’s a place to grab a lively beer after work. Be prepared to stand as it gets packed quickly.
Love this bar! It's like going to an NYC museum and the food is very good too. I usually order the twin hot dogs with potato salad. Always a good crowd there and usually able to get s seat at the bar.
Pro Tip: Visit the urinals on the first floor. History galore in these suckers!!
