The food is alright. The decor is whatever, (their tables are too small and too tightly packed together) and the staff decent until I asked if I could sit at a corner table because the 2 person tables at the restaurant are tiny. Seeing as the restaurant wasn’t busy and my friends and I wanted to try a couple of things on the menu we thought it would be fine. She said no and that it was a “3 person table”. Once seated drinks were ordered then a couple walks in moments later and our waitress sits them at the “3 person table” we specifically asked for.

Cool atmosphere with laid back vibes. Food is pretty good. Service is just OK. But will definitely return.

As other mentioned, this is one for the hipsters. Food here is average and portions are small for the price you are paying. I ordered the BLT and it came out on one of the smallest plates possible. The bread was also pretty burnt on the edges. As I tried to bite into the sandwich and eat the market greens that accompanied it, everything just fell on the table Not only are the plates and portions small, the water pitcher and cups are even smaller. I wouldn't have a problem with this if the waiters were actually attentive and refilled the water. Definitely not somewhere I would visit again.

Dimes is best as a lunch spot, in my opinion. The food is clean, creative and delicious and reminds me of California more than any other place in this city. Highly recommend.

This left a bad taste in my mouth about the restaurant and lost my appetite. I asked her about it and she smiles and says “oh it just opened up” I understand you have rules but don’t blatantly lie to your customers in the face. Dimes is notoriously known for having bad staff but that was just bad business. Never coming back.

+ Breakfast menu is served into the afternoon

Food decent. Service lousy unless you are part of the "in crowd". I'm too old for this. I can go to Cafe Carlyle and still be treated decent. Worth a try if not for the completely untrained wait staff and hostess. But you come to expect that on the Lower East Side, just not at this price. The food is a 8 (which is why people come), the crowd (3 at best, lots of New Jersey types -- reminds me of those who couldn't get into Studio 54 back in the day). Not for me. But I'm glad I gave it a shot.
