Great burger, questionable service
On top of that it seems that she has been trained that those people get catered to and must be waited on first. So she would start talking to the people in front of us (and then us) only to have someone come downstairs and actually cut her off and say we need to be seated now!!
The burgers here were amazing, and cooked to perfection. The kids burger was the same size as the adults so you could save a little money on that. The kids meals were a good price. Shakes were significant part of my experience here, as they were just as spectacular as the burgers. They look like a lot but they are just the right size. Service was good, waiters and waitresses are very nice and helpful. I recommend this for anyone looking for a good American meal.
I find that to be totally unacceptable and I felt truly bad for her.
I get it, we, unfortunately, hit this place at 12:15 on a weekday when it was being swarmed by people from the surrounding office buildings.
The pretzel buns are amazing, and the patties are too die for.
Unbelievably amazing! I came here twice during my visit. The names of the burgers are unique, and all sound great.
The Turkey Burger here was delicious. My friend got the turkey BLT and its big enough to feed two people. Not that expensive for a place right near Rockefeller center. We came here on an 80 degree day and it was absolute hot inside here. I wish it was a little bit cooler. The service was kind of slow but it was very busy and our waitress was very nice and respectful. I Will come back here for lunch.
The only reason this gets four stars is because the burger really was awesome.
There were two lines, one upstairs and one downstairs. Apparently, the business folks like to sit upstairs to either people watch out the windows or perhaps be seen with the people they are lunching with. Whatever.
We got seated and out server was fine. He was too busy to actually be attentive. Part of our order came out and when we inquired about the rest of it the person was surprised but they quickly came out with the other order. (There were only two of us)
The only strange thing, I got a look when I asked for more napkins.
We went downstairs where the line was much shorter. Unfortunately for many of us in line the hostess upstairs started sending people downstairs to our hostess who was seriously trying to maintain her composure (which she did well) and manage the annoyed people who were being sent downstairs. These people were just flat out rude. They wanted to eat there but they didn't want to be downstairs and most were not nice to the hostess when they came downstairs.
Service is not great and frankly, I think they have their priorities a little off here. I understand the businesses around the restaurant likely sink a lot of money there but that's no reason to allow them to be bullies to the people who work there.
My husband and I decided to stop here for a late lunch after going to the 9/11 Memorial Museum. The server, Gregory, made the experience wonderful! His food and beer suggestions were great and they even treated us to a piece of cheesecake for us being on our honeymoon! The food was exceptional and the restaurant was very clean as well. If we ever come back to this area, we will definitely come here again!
