I love to come to this park because it is nice and beautiful. I see people walking with their dogs all the time. There is also a train station across the river. Also, there is a bridge named Henry Hudson. I come here every week to sat down and relax and read my iPad.
No need to leave the city for a great hike! Inwood hill park is heavily wooded with many trails and abundant natural beauty including caves once inhabited by native peoples. A true gem of a place.
Quiet and very hilly, this park is one of the most secluded in Manhattan and one of the only places you can go for a walk to be by oneself. Which is not to say there aren't people, but far fewer than at any other big park. The paths are mostly unpaved or broken up pavement, so this is not a good park for a stroller unless it's a very sturdy, off road model. Also, it really is extraordinarily hilly, so it's not great for casual strolls through the woods.
I love this park. We held my niece's birthday party here in August and it was a very nice day. The kids had fun running around and we got to watch the sunset and everything.
This park is quite nice and big. The western part of the park is like a hill, with trails, and could be a little creepy, with all the broken lights along the paths. Most people stay near the field and baseball courts. There are beautiful views and at some places you can see the Hudson river and NJ. Small wild rabbits can be seen that are very cute, but hard to spot on, and a lot of squirrels.
