The museum is tiny and only has one floor with exhibitions. I came on Thursday "pay what you wish" and paid $5. Spent only 10 minutes in there because there. That was enough. I would not go again. I think it's nice for people who are really really into that stuff.
Small but nicely curated. The main floors were under construction when I went so make sure to check k ahead. There was a nice 2 floor exhibit on hippie counterculture, mainly the clothing. Always Check ahead to see if you are interested in the current exhibit because a full ticket is $16 and it's a very small museum.
I really enjoyed visiting this museum, especially with a free tour on every exhibition, though what makes me a bit frustrated is a fact that I was visiting at day "pay what you like" and had to pay 5$...well a bit of cheating in my opinion. The stuff was really friendly and helpful, I very much enjoyed a tour but she was rudely surprised that I can speak English as a person from Poland. I understand the stereotypes but in my opinion it was act of racism in a public space with thousands of visitors every year.
Honestly not worth the full price. If you happen to be there during their pay what you like hours I suggest check it out. But, their full price is not worth the very short time you will end up spending there. Though they do have an amazing gift shop.
Perfect location and nice design. The art installations were interesting but definitely more introduction and explanation.
