Major complaints though are the following:

The new Whitney is beautiful. The exhibitions are well done and are always interesting and inspiring. Love to go out on the balconies where you can see the end if the high line. There is so much to see here. This is a museum you can go to over and over. Always something great to see.

2. Elevators are ridiculously inefficient, especially when you want to go down from the top floor;

Many innovative informative exhibits. Take tours when you can. The leaders are usually excellent. Some exhibitions push the envelope, but we should be invited to do so, even if it does not always appeal. That is consistent with this beautiful museum’s origin.

1. Some staff/volunteers are rude;

A great place to unleash your artsy self. Wonderful curation. Great view of the skyline.

I did not see a show, because lack of time, so that's why four and not five stars (just can't say). I went to see the new building designed by super architect Renzo Piano. Clean lines, modern feel, open concept. I spent a good hour in the gift shop on the main level before paying to go in.

3. As huge as the building is, one could feel very contained inside. There’s gotta be a better way to diverge crowds of people.

I have fallen in love with The Whitney. I appreciate the new, wonderful building: the top three floors have excellent views of the city, intermingled with sculpture displays. I also appreciate that the whole museum rotates throughout the year. You can keep going back to see the best, weirdest, most daring, and sure, most pretentious that modern and contemporary art have to offer.
