Very informative to understand early days of settlement of Jewish people in the area where now is more Chinese than Jewish.
This is one of my top choices for museums in the City. Every time I go I learn something new. The architecture and stained glass windows are amazing. The informative exhibit in the basement is worth visiting after or before the tour.
Small but beautiful museum. Try to catch one of their guide visits so that you get a better understanding of the place. I went on a monday when the entry was free
The synagouge is beautiful and the programming is thoughtful. The staff is warm and accomodating. The venue is a bit narrow for planning a family outing with small children. Recommended as a stop in a broader visit to Lower East Side/Chinatown.
