We were allowed to reserve a car online, but when we arrived to pick it up, Hertz had no cars available. After a 2 hour wait, they did call us with a car available and gave us a slight discount. Somewhat inconvenient, but thoughtful in the end.
Showed up at 10:20 to pick up my Presidents Club reservation. Credit card was on file so all the rep had to do was hand me the keys. But she had decided to close early and wouldn't honor my reservation. The car was already parked up front and ready to go. What's the point of total loyalty when they can't even give you published service? I stood there as the rep got into the car and drove it back into the garage. It was only a leisure rental so I really wasn't terribly upset. But you'd expect more, especially from high frequency renters.
Painful customer service experience. I arrived at the location and the person running the counter was new, and couldn't figure out how to run my corporate card. Meanwhile, the phone is ringing incessantly and she doesn't bother to answer it the entire 40 minutes I stood there. There was also an off duty employee sitting next to her in the booth screaming and cursing to someone on his cell phone. The excuse was that the manager was at another location to assist. The line just kept getting longer and she didn't seem prepared enough to be running the counter by herself. I've never had a problem like this with Hertz in NYC, it was frustrating to say the least.
They didn’t have the car I reserved so I had to pay an upgrade that cost me 35% percent more than the price...awful!
This has got to be the worst location I have ever been the employees have no knowledge of what we're doing there I came there to get a car and I had reservations and I was in there for over two hours I did not walking to the car after was given to me and tell me that that was a full tank of gas and there is no gas in the car at all the call was pretty beat up and did not drive well
