Went for a weekend stay for my wife's birthday. They didn't accommodate my requests that we're promised. They eventually made good on their promises at the end.

We had a great experience at AKA Central Park! The room was small, but fine for NYC standards, and had nice furnishings. The bed was comfortable, kitchenette was great, shower had a great rain showerhead. The location was very convenient- about a block and a half from two different subway stations, a block from Central Park, and an easy walk to Times Square. There were a couple of drugstores around the corner, so you could cheaply stock the fridge in the room with drinks and snacks. Upon arrival, we were offered drinks while we waited for our room in the modern lobby. The hotel has a nice lounge/bar on one side and a cafe next door (great breakfast/lunch and coffee). While staying at the AKA, we made several odd requests, which they managed to accommodate for us with no problems. We got into NYC very early, and they allowed us to check in within 30 min of arriving so I could pump in the privacy of our room. I'd requested a room far from the elevator, which we got. We needed to store luggage since we didn't leave NYC until early evening, no problem. I needed to keep all of my pumped milk in a freezer until we came for our luggage, no problem. I needed to pump again before heading back to the airport, and they set me up in the cinema so I could have privacy. They really went above and beyond to make me comfortable and help with our needs, and I was very appreciative. I've stayed at several NYC hotels, and I'd definitely choose to stay here again for the location, willingness to accommodate us, and to have the kitchenette in the room.

Minimalist modern luxury aesthetic consistent with AKA hotels. A nice but simple accommodation only a block from Central Park West, with much to offer in exchange for the distance. Great views and great service.

Rooms were clean, however, they were extremely dark and much smaller than presented on the photos, AC stopped working on our second last day. Staff were super friendly and helpful - Especially Franklin!

It is a good place to stay. Great location. The only thing is that at night the people at the lobby are not really paying attention when you arrive and it takes them a bit to open the door

Location was fantastic - nearly all NY attractions were in a 30 min walk distance.
