They need to learn how to respond to people. If you cannot answer people's question, why pay you to stand there instead of putting more machine at zero cost? Eventually I tried alternative way to print myself, it was a very bad experience.
So-so service for a fast-paced NYC downtown store. I was able to place my order at self-help kiosk hoping to "pick up at store" next day as cashier assured me after paying for item. The "online order only" item took more than a week for delivery, notification and pick up. Staples' customer service is not what it once was in the early 90s when it became the place to go to for supplies and services. This retail store needs improvement.
The place splits the area into two, one is self service printing zone and the other is serve-for help printing zone. I waited for 20 minutes to get people serve me. There was a technical issue hardly for me to solve easily. The lady was constantly not available, and disappeared after one client. The guy distanced from the counter, constantly looking down to pretend he cannot hear from me. I yelled at him finally got his look but he gave me a self server card instead.
They open real late. Great selection and prices.. The staff are helpful with a good attitude.
I could have swore they were open 24 hours. Either way this is my fav Staples in the city.
Do not use the printer service line there, it is bad and it's very bad. I wanted to print out and scan for a few pages. Supposed this to be done really quick, but it turned out two hours of time there for that. The printer service line was ridiculous helpless. 2 people's working there, but none was willing to help. I would rename that zone a.k.a. Self service centre, people there was very unfriendly and useless.
Its a sacious store that holds the prime real estate on Vessey st and Broadway - just perfect for people after work or those running errands during lunch time. The store has tons of options but it's weird that they lock up priter cartriges in front of the counter - so be aware!
Copy and print is slow and employees don't want to help. Even on a small print job the associate won't help. It is fast paced everywhere except in this store. Go around the corner to Fedex store.
