Simply the best! Dr. Metzl has all the qualities you would want in a physician. He is great at diagnosing the problem. He prescribes the right plan--to make sure you return to your previous active sports/physical lifestyle. He is enthusiastic and kind. He listens. He is helping me now, and he has helped my then college-age daughter with her sports related injury. Here's a bonus: His staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and there is minimal office waiting time involved.
I've seen him for a variety of sports related injuries over the years and I wouldn't go to anyone else! He cares about each and every one of his patients and understands that they want to get back to being active quickly and safely.
Dr. Metzl is a great sports medicine doctor. I've been a patient for almost ten yrs and am always very satisfied at the results. He listens and gives great advice for all questions asked, takes his time with patients, never rushes and does not try to push anything on you. For any athlete: he perfectly understands the frustration that comes with immobility and makes sure to get you back moving - strong.
Dr Metzl is the best there is!!
Expect to wait over an hour and have him discuss his workout programs with you. Ultimately, though he is enthusiastic and likable, he cares more about his Ironstrength workouts and TV appearances than actually treating patients. I would not recommend, ESP if you're an athlete who knows your body and are already familiar with strengthening and plyo stuff.
