These guys are great! Super helpful, friendly, and informative. Fair prices, fast service, awesome attitude. They introduced me to the Pinhead system which prevents quick release tires from being stolen without adding ANY weight to your bike, and, actually REDUCES the WEIGHT you carry by eliminating an entire second lock! Cool! I got the three pin set which also prevents seat theft!.. So painless;))

I bough my bike here at the end of April this year. The price was good and the service excellent and the bike has been working perfectly fine. Today I had a flat tire. I went there early in the morning and asked if I have to pay to fix the flat tire, the guy at the desk said If I bough the bicycle there I don't have to pay. But when the flat tire was fixed he told me it was a little more than $18. I said you told me it was free. He said flat tire are not covered. I don't know why he gave false information before. I could go to other places in Manhattan to fix a flat tire for less.
I visited 4 other bike shops in NYC before this one. Zen bikes had by far the friendliest and most helpful staff, they also had better deals. But most importantly they made me feel really glad I was buying from a NYC bike shop instead of Amazon.
Bought my bike here (Kona Jake) and I love it! The staff is so friendly and they definitely aren't assholes, which is very refreshing.
