I haven't been able to make use of their services but give 5 stars for kindness to strangers. Came in here with a rental bike I had gotten somewhere else. They quickly diagnosed the problem (loose spokes, replacement rear wheel needed), allowed me to use their charger so I could phone the guy I rented it from to make arrangements for rapid repair, and let my young travelling partner use the restroom. Lifesavers. Many thanks, guys!
Just got a new Momentum bike from there and so far service has been great. Have already come in for help with minor adjustments and repairs, and am really happy with the help that I got.They seem to be very knowledgeable about bikes. There is also a beautiful view outside the shop where you can stop and pump your tires.
Great work. I enjoyed the fix and the fluid frame. Found furrows in the road to fly me through Manhattan proper.
Definitely will be coming back here.
I have been going to Conrads since 2005. Back then it was John running the show with Sara his side kick, They have always been friendly to me and over the years I have built 3 bikes with him. John and his staff are dedicated and passionate cyclists. They have been there for years and have not changed. They know what they are doing and treat each bike as it was their own. Cyclists that shop here build their bikes piece by piece, and the bikes they sell and service are not off the shelf but custom made. So don't expect to walk in here and pick up an off the shelf pre-made bike and leave in an hour. There are many other bikes stores in the city that will sell you any bike if you want that.
I met John a few days ago and I'm in town visiting all the older bike shop that are still around.
John is a very nice guy and really knowledgeable about vintage and newer bike.
