While all the dishes were delectable, it is always the salted caramel pudding dessert that has me coming back! A must order.
Part of the Met Breuer, the restaurant offers a stopping point before or after exhibits, of simply for a nice lunch in an attractive environment. It offers high ceilings, casual seating, in addition to a dining room with indoor and outdoor tables. It is scenic in a non-traditional way, attributable to its quirky layout, being both underground and open to the sky. The food itself is very good - I usually opt for two plates, an appetizer, and a salad - along with tea, soda, and water. The service was good, but not exceptional, although any miscoordination could have been attributable to me being inattentive. Overall, very nice high-quality but low-key dining in an unusual setting within the museum.
We tried most dishes on the manu and shared them all. Everything was absolutely amazing! Service was also great! Definitely will be coming back!
It's a wonderful place. There's so much space and it's chic. All of the pasteries are wonderful and great in their own right. The walnut shortbread is buttery, crumbly and finds the balance of sweet and savory. The chocolate chip cookie is chewy and crisp. There is a deep depth of carmelized flavor that just lingers and you want it to stay. The sesame pound cake is buttery and the subtlety of the vanilla is exquisite. It just makes you tilt your head because the flavor is so gentle but still flavor packed. The scone is my favorite. It's cheesy and tender and perfect. It's just a bit crumbly and so tasty. It's buttery in each bite. I love all the treats and would recommend it to anyone.
Outstanding is the word! The food is truly amazing paired with an incredible cocktail list, even more so the architecture of the emblematic Museum is sure to WOW any of its visitors! Highly recommend it!
This is the third time I've come to Flora. I love the delicious selections of small plates, great for sharing. The bartender made a world class gin and tonic w/ cucumber and elderflower per my request, and apparently an even better manhattan according to my boyfriend.
