A NY institution! I have been going here forever and pretty much can count on the fact that the films will be interesting and the place won't have changed. Not plush, definitely "dated" and that's why it's a rare gem.
Other than price and seating it's fine.
My favorite place to see international and interdependent films. People tend to go dress "dressy" here. Decent prices and good customer service.
This is an awesome old theater. Beautifully maintained with all of it's original charm. The theatres are small but spotless and the films shown here are often not available anywhere else. A block away from Lincoln center
Nice place for smaller films. I'd give it a 5 but it is missing stadium seating and their maitinee prices are basically the same as their regular prices (like 15 bucks)
The best independent and foreign movies are generally listed in this theater. They'll just need to have a broader and more international selection of films, and not only French. There are other minorities that live in New York, and sadly they're not represented with the most awarded art.
