Purchased tickets in advance for the Halloween party, got a costume together, rearranged travel plans to be there and spent 1.5 hours in line before being told they weren't letting guys in. If you sell me a ticket, I expect to NOT wait in line or be denied entry. Maybe that's just too crazy a concept for 1 Oak.
If you aren't Euro Trash or a tourist this place isn't for you. Try Cielo it's 5 mins away. No wait on line. Everyone comes there to dance and listen to dope DJ's. Not go where there is a pretentious air for no reason. I saw a guy walk in and give security $2 dollar tip lol laughable. Native New Yorkers don't frequent this club. It's all tourist! Stay away. Your only paying for the name. The club will go out of business soon. Mark my words. Good day
(PS , I spent my $200 elsewhere) . Hope the club's owners read this.
*One of New York's biggest cesspool.* Drinks are superbly overpriced, the staff are Jerks. The club does not respect the neighborhood it lives in. The cabs are allowed to line up outside and wake up everyone with honking at 5 a.m. in the morning. And club doesn't care to prevent that from happening. They also take up over 8 parking spots outside the clubs perimeter and no one is allowed to park there from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. #notgoodneighbors

09/09/2017: Crooked club ! They previously asked me $200 /person bar tab. When I agreed to pay through the card, they discussed amongst themselves and then changed the terms and asked me for $200 cash(no card) with no cover/person (i.e. just to get in !) . Obviously they are skimming the club to make their own cash since the money was never going to the club's owners (why cash ? why not card ??? , where's the money going ? In the doorman''s pocket ?) . It reflects very badly on the club's business to recruit crooked and cheaters. The club's owners should check this ! If found guilty, fire the entire door staff and re-hire afresh since they were all involved.
The club you go to after the club. Can get a bit raunchy, but fun if you are in the mood. Likely to see some famous faces with a table near the DJ booth.
