I came for annual inspection and was admitted on the spot. The mechanic found that both bulbs of my rear plate number were not working (probably after a bump from the rear that I received at a stop sign a few weeks ago). I agreed to change them. I got "passed" for the inspection and a bill for just the cost of the bulbs (on top of the standard inspection fee). No charges for the labor, although the mechanic had to remove the license plate in order to get to the bulbs and then put it back – about 10 min work. The mechanic and the receptions were very courteous. The place was clean and even a coffee machine for the customers in the waiting room. I was extremely pleased with the service. Highly recommended!
I'd never been to a mechanic that told me the parts he inspected were working fine and didn't need to be replaced, and that he wasn't going to charge me anything. I have now. These folks were friendly and honest and easy to communicate with. I'm impressed. [More recently, I asked Prestige to check the right front tie rod on my aging Dodge Grand Caravan which an inspector thought might be loose. Mike had the car up on the lift immediately, and about ten minutes later showed me that everything was fine and sent me on my way. No charge, and the whole thing took less than twenty minutes. I had driven my daughter back to Harlem from New Hampshire. While in NYC, one of the tires on my car developed a slow leak. I was facing the thought of driving 300+ miles back to NH the next day on the donut spare tire or trying to get the tired fixed before heading back. At 3:30PM I drove down to Prestige and asked if they would be able to take a look at the time. Within half an hour, they had gotten the car in, found a small hole, plugged it and charged an unbelievably low price. Pleasant, courteous, and honest service.

I am so pleased with Pristige Auto!!!!! I went in because my car was shaking above 60 and needed an oil change and belts tightened. They could have told me anything was wrong with my car and I would have believed. Instead, they balanced my tires for FREE, did the oil change, rotated my tires, and tightened my belts for free. I now have my go to mechanic in Manhattan. I couldn't be happier
