My sister and I stumbled in here the last time I was in New York.
Italian bookstore (but not really) with a great selection in design , fashion and art. It's really first and foremost the prettiest bookstore around.
This place has tons of coffee table books -- and lots of photography books, so maybe coming here looking for shelves full of novels is a misguided approach. However, this is a great place to snag a gift for a book lover, as there are many different sections from fashion to food.
Great selection. The store also has a cozy reading area. Lastly, they host a good lecture series.
I didn't end up getting anything, and nobody offered me any help, but I did enjoy my experience here. I'd definitely come back to check out the new offerings when in the city.
I'm not entirely sure why there are so many bad reviews of this place! Rizzoli is a really neat store which is pretty artfully designed and full of interesting books.
Beautiful assortment as one would expect. Their Google hours are however incorrect. They close at 8pm.
Nice to have a book store like this in the heart of the city. Great browsing. Highly recommended if you like to read
