Love this zoo, it's small so you don't spend much energy touring the exhibits. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly, they have a lot of interesting animals - including the cute red pandas and the two grizzly bears.
Also known as a kids Zoo because of it's size. Never mind that Zoo is pretty much good organized and well toured. Just for the moment u can forget that u are in the middle of concrete world and stay a little longer in the nature sanctuary for all of those who are trying to find them selves.
The zoo was very well presented. Although the zoo is quite small what they do have there was great. I was able to see the seal and sea lion feedings which was really cool. One of my favorite parts was the tropical zone. There are just so many animals you have to look out for. It was a shame the day I went I didn't see the grizzly bears. Worth a visit for sure it you have an hour or two.
I go to a lot of zoos and I absolutely loved this one. The seals were the happiest seals I’ve ever seen in my life. They were doing flips and smiling for the crowd without trainers even being there! They just seemed to love being the center of attention. The other animals were amazing too but the seals really stole the show for me.
Greatest park in Manhattan. The kids love climbing on the rocks. There is a zoo, trails, ice skating, rides and more. Enter through 59th street. There is a lot more activities near the south end of the park.
