I used to think that this place was good, and got my fillings done here because it was cheap and I didn't have dental insurance. That went well, but over time I see that the service is slacking.
On more than one occasion, I came and tried to check in for my appointment, just to have them till me that it was never actually scheduled in the first place. I've had people at the reception desk tell me to wait one minute, while they're clearly talking to a coworker about a personal email. Oral care here is decent, especially for the price but there is an underlying feeling of unprofessionalism.
They have the worst service.I went there as an emergency.They took two x-rays for one tooth.Told me that they will assign me a 4 yr student and that he will call me for an appointment.It's been 18 days and I have not gotten a phone call from him.I've called the clinic four times.They told me they would speak with a supervisor about the delay and I still haven't heard from them.Take yourself to another dental school these people haven't a clue what they are doing.
I went in Twice to be seen and no one helped me. Don't waste your time here plus I showed up on time twice they were late! Not sure what's up with the lack of professionalism here but DONT GO not worth taking the time to take the train just to be turned away! Thanks for nothing!
In short I would never recommend the dentists at the Vanderbilt clinic to anyone as the entire organization from top to bottom has completely failed to provide me with adequate treatment for a simple extraction and implant. Please share and tell those you know to never use Columbia dental.
They also chipped a tooth that had nothing to do with the process. They have canceled and delayed my appointments on numerous occasions. At the close of the process now they are charging me an additional $1200 because the people they have handling money are incompetent and can't comprehend what, "pay in full" means.
My experience here was horrible!!! I was assigned an orthodontist that was reckless with his instruments and repeatedly hit my teeth during appointments. I also had instances where i will make appointments with him, and my appointments would magically disappear from the schedule...and I was never notified about it. My orthodontist ended up disappearing and never returning back to work...and i was assigned a new orthodontist. The service was poor and they are down your back about keeping up with payments. I would not recommend this place to anyone! Columbia needs to work on improving the service they provide to their customers because right now it sucks! I give 1star
For the past year I have been in and out of the dentist working on fixing my front tooth which I had pulled for a reoccurring infection. During this past year the dentist at the Vanderbilt Clinic at Columbia university dental have put me through a horrible experience. There was one occasion where they gave me 8 shots of anesthesia in my mouth since they weren't putting them in right. After which it took 3 days for swelling in my face to somewhat subside.
