When in NYC you must visit. Check out the reading room and if you have time, go to the children's area and see the original Winnie the Pooh on display. I have spent a lot of time here over the years and it never ceases to entertain me and enlighten me. Love it!

Beautiful place to visit, lots of nice exhibitions and things to see. The reading room is amazing, and a great place to actually sit quietly and read a book. You know, like we all used to do. Also, not a bad place to sit and watch the world go by. A must do if you have a bit of extra time in the city.

Beautiful building and fantastic study area. The only problem is they have zero climate control skill. The rooms, especially the Rose Reading Room, are freezing year round. They throw money down the drain and still ask for donations.
It is not just a library, it is a highly sophisticated system which provides free access and education.
The best library system in the world, in my opinion. It supports well over 80 branches around the New York area and a myriad of programs for children and adults alike.
Let us not forget to mention their expansive and steadfastly growing digital library.
